Hospital Support Programme (HSP)

The Hospital Support Programme (HSP) is a nationwide initiative aimed at boosting healthcare delivery in 12 university teaching hospitals across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

Phase Two Completion

Ongoing projects include the renovation and equipping of Neonatal Wards and Intensive Care Unit at the Federal Medical Centre Asaba; the construction and equipping of laboratory complex at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital Bauchi; and the renovation and construction of an oxygen plant at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi.

Bonny Malaria Elimination Programme (BNYMEP)

Bonny Island Malaria Elimination Project aims to achieve zero malaria transmission, infections, and deaths on Bonny Island through innovative interventions. The project, led by NLNG in collaboration with strategic partners, focuses on reducing the malaria burden and bringing the community to pre-elimination status.
Testing and Treatment:
Over 15,749 fever cases were tested, with 1,713 treated using artemisinin-based therapies.
Prevention
Distribution of 94,304 insecticide-treated nets, protecting 188,608 residents.
Community Engagement
School-based initiatives and community outreach have reduced malaria prevalence among children from 10.6% to 0.6%.

Bonny Community Health Insurance Programme (BCHIP)

The Bonny Community Health Insurance Programme is a community-based health insurance initiative that is geared towards providing access to affordable, sustainable, and quality healthcare services to beneficiaries (i.e., residents of Bonny Island) making out-of-pocket expenses when accessing medical care.

Ibani Se HIV Initiative

The Ibani Se Initiative has reduced HIV prevalence in Bonny Kingdom from 8.2% to 1.9% through:
Testing and Counselling
Over 130,941 individuals were tested, with 6,767 positive cases referred for treatment.
Awareness Campaigns:
Targeted outreach to at-risk groups and the general population.
